The wait commend
I make my dogs do the wait commend every night before they come into the house. The wait commend is different for the stay comment. In the wait comment the dogs can move around, but are not to cross the line through the doorway, or off a rug, through a gate and etc. They seem to understand where the lines are with not problem. In the stay comment they are not to move from the position they are doing, example sit or down.
The wait comment is a very good comment if you are going in and out of house all day long, but do not want the dogs inside. For Rat Terrier love to go through doorways before you. Even if it mean hitting your leg and throwing you off balance.
